Day 1 of the AIRC Riding Clubs Festival done and what a day. It started in the Hunter ring with a credible 4th in the small Hunter (Camille was very small) then it was a dash to make it on time for my dressage and it was definitely worth the run as we won with a 70+% test then back in the afternoon for the side saddle class and Camille was on fire and rode amazing to take the class we followed that up by going Ring 2 Reserve Champion.. then immediately into Ring 1 for the judging of the Supreme Championship and I finally let the handbrake off more in the gallop to be chosen as Reserve Supreme Champion for 2019. Superb well done to Ann Nixon and the fab Its Millar Time who were deserved Supreme Champions.
Day 2 and we started off in the dressage arena where Camille despite a mammoth day yesterday tried her heart out to come 2nd in the Long arena championship, It breeds day in the show ring. Camille topped a massive class of over 20 connemara ponies to stand top of the line. Later in the day we returned to the ring for the Supreme Championship where Camille galloped her heart out to take the Eddie Fowler Championship. I could not be more delighted with how she dug deep over two very long, hot and varied days. A well earned rest ahead.
